Meet Chad and Kelly Walker
At Walker K9 Training, Chad and Kelly Walker are passionate about helping dogs and their owners build lasting relationships through trust, communication, and clear leadership. Together, they have dedicated their lives to transforming dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments into confident, well-mannered companions.
Chad, the lead trainer, brings extensive experience in obedience, behavior modification, puppy development, and off-leash reliability. His calm, knowledgeable approach allows him to tailor every training program to each dog’s unique personality and each family’s goals. Kelly works alongside Chad to ensure every dog receives individualized care, consistent training, and plenty of encouragement throughout the process.
What truly sets Chad and Kelly apart is their commitment to the people behind the leash. They believe successful training doesn’t end when a dog goes home — it continues by educating owners, providing ongoing support, and helping families confidently maintain their dog’s progress for years to come.
Known for their honesty, patience, and genuine love for dogs, Chad and Kelly have earned the trust of families throughout Southwest Florida. Whether working with an energetic puppy, a reactive dog, or simply helping owners enjoy a calmer, happier life with their pets, their mission remains the same: to create balanced dogs, confident owners, and stronger lifelong bonds.

Chad has run Walker K-9 Training in North Port since March 2021.

I have been in Law Enforcement for 22 years and have been working and training with Police K-9’s for over 16 years.
Currently, I am a certified FDLE Canine Instructor. At my police agency, I am the lead K9 trainer for the unit.
The goal for me is to build a strong foundational obedience with your dog. This is done through balanced training techniques.
Training dogs is a passion and I want to see each and every one of them improve along with their owner.
I want to use my knowledge and experience to help others build a safe and stress free relationship with their dogs.

Trainer and Care
After more than fifteen years as an elementary school teacher, I left the classroom to help build something Chad and I both love: training dogs.
Watching a dog from the first day of our program to the last is genuinely rewarding. Chad does the hard work. I get the fun part, loving on the dogs, playing with them, and taking care of them while they’re with us.
Dogs really are the best, and there’s nothing better than watching one grow into the best version of itself.
